There are now more CCTV cameras per person in the UK than in any other country in the world, the downside of this level of coverage is the certainty that during an average day CCTV will intrude on our lives. The penalties for infringement are now severe and can be in the form of Fines from the DPA (data protection office) of up to £500,000 for serious failures, or failed prosecutions through inadmissible data.
